Where we come from
Originally operating under the name Trips Beyond the Classroom, our organization created transformative travel programs and workshops for students from Poland, the U.S., and beyond.
But when COVID disrupted traditional learning and technology reshaped education, we saw the need to go further — to blend innovation with compassion, and to help students not only catch up, but thrive.
Today, Learn Compass is the next step on that journey: a modern, mission-driven platform that offers both one-on-one coaching and free global gatherings, helping students take charge of their learning — and their lives.

Benjamin Burg is an educator, coach, and global connector with over 20 years of experience teaching students across the U.S., Poland, and beyond. A former Peace Corps volunteer and the founder of Trips Beyond the Classroom, Benjamin has led international student programs, developed educational nonprofits, and worked with young people from all walks of life. He holds a Master’s in Education from the University of Pennsylvania and is passionate about helping students find their voice, build confidence, and navigate the future with curiosity and courage
